Reengineer - Indian Economy

Big companies in India of desi origin, are always desperate to associate with the off shore companies. It’s an agony of the Indian business world that the big Indian companies don’t believe on the capabilities of the budding yet capable Indian companies when it comes to do business.

For any start up, even to tap business in India, they need to route through other countries, may be European or American. Here the big Indian companies just don’t believe on the capabilities of any small Indian company who knows the dynamics and the exact needs of the local market. Even if a small start up is capable of providing world class, customised service at a very low cost then also companies of foreign origin get the piece of the pie.

On one side, we say we need entrepreneurs and on other side the big companies are always keen to get associated with foreign companies. It’s hard to make them understand that a totally Indian company can give the desired outputs on a very low cost.

Business is all the game of maximising profits by minimising costs. Very evident example is the BPO business, they off-shored it for saving cost and still maintained healthy bottom lines. Once this advantage will gets over they will look for other destinations. The recent recessionary lay offs have proved it all.

If the Indian working all over the world have proved themselves, why can’t the we believe on the capabilities of the Indian entrepreneurship. It’s high time the Indian business arena should start depending upon the in-house capabilities to develop a self-sufficient market. In future recessionary phases the Indian economy need not depend on other economies for revival.
